CPL and Advanced Flight Training

Excellence in Aviation Solutions Training Programs

Commercial Flight TrainingThe commercial pilot licence for aero planes CPL (A) is the first step in gaining employment within the aviation industry as a pilot. This licence allows you to earn a living and fly aeroplanes for hire and reward. Our training follows the CASA day VFR syllabus and begins with basic flight training progressing to the private pilot stage and finally the commercial licence with a multi engine instrument rating. The command multi engine instrument rating allows you to fly in cloud flying solely by reference to the aircrafts instruments. This rating is a must for you to become gainfully employed in the aviation industry as a pilot. The CASA day VFR syllabus can be found on the CASA website.

The fastest way to gaining airline employment is to simply move through the industry by gaining command hours and experience on a wide variety of aircraft and flying conditions. Flight One has the enviable position of operating under the licence of Sunland Aviation Service (AOC SQ016902) which is a long established company in the aviation industry. Given their experience, we double the chances of finding employment for our graduates.

Qualifications:

On completion of the course you will hold a commercial pilot's licence (CPLA) with a command multi engine instrument rating (CIRME). You will also have on average:

  • 30 hours A36 Bonanza/Cessna 210
  • 25 hours B58 Beechcraft Baron

You will have valuable experience on industry aeroplanes. This is probably the single most important factor in gaining that vitally important first job. Industry aeroplanes are the type of aircraft actually used in the real world of aircraft charter & air work. Few other schools in south east Queensland offer you time and experience in these aircraft which will always put your resume on the top of the pile, every time. Our competitor's students always say "I should have done my training in a real world aeroplaneā€. We are asked daily by our competitor's students if they can hire our aircraft.

Previous Experience:

No previous experience is required however if you do have any flying time it can be credited to your course fees. You will also require a medical certificate from an approved Doctor and a security clearance. The details of which we will provide for you.

To be issued a commercial licence you must be 18 years of age. We would like to see our students with a pass in high school grade 12 or similar.
